Same IP Failover (SIF) is a unique business continuity and disaster recovery solution from UNSi. SIF is located between UNSi’s primary on-net (MPLS/DIA) circuits and any broadband back-up circuits. The purpose of SIF is to aggregate multiple internet services enabling a business to automatically fail over from a primary Internet connection to a back-up Internet connection while maintaining the same IP Addresses. SIF includes three main components -- an on-net component, a broadband component
and a managed CPE component. The main differentiator and advantage of using SIF is that it provides a single set of IP Addresses across multiple network access types which creates consistency and simplicity for IT departments.
